Replacement Media Filters & Pre-Filters

MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) measures a filter's ability to capture airborne particles. Ratings range from 1 to 16, with higher values indicating finer filtration. MERV 13–16 filters capture ultrafine particles including bacteria, viruses, and wildfire smoke. The ECOairflow M-Series™ is rated MERV 13, 14, 15, or 16 and maintains its rating whether powered, unpowered, or tested under ASHRAE Appendix J protocol.

A pre-filter captures larger particles to protect and extend the life of the downstream final filter, which captures finer particles. The ECOairflow M-Series™ patent-pending single-pad design eliminates the need for a separate pre-filter bank by combining MERV 8-equivalent pre-filtration and MERV 14A or 16A final filtration into one pad, simplifying installation and reducing pressure drop.

Yes. The M-Series™ replacement pads are compatible with existing Model 2300 aluminum frames. Facilities that already operate ECOairflow Model 2300 commercial installations can upgrade to hospital-grade ASHRAE 170 performance simply by swapping in the M-Series pad — no new frame purchase required.

Yes. The M-Series™ 2" Hybrid E.A.C. is ASHRAE 170 and CSA Z317.2 compliant. The MERV 14A configuration is approved for hospital emergency rooms, invasive procedure rooms, and treatment areas, while the MERV 16A configuration meets the standard for operating rooms and high-acuity procedural spaces. ASHRAE 241 infection-control compliance is also supported.

Yes. All ECOairflow M-Series™ filters are UL 2998 Zero Ozone certified, emitting less than 0.0005 ppm (5 ppb) of ozone — well below the ASHRAE 170 threshold for hospital environments. The filters also exceed ASHRAE 170 emission standards for formaldehyde, making them safe for ORs, ICUs, and Protective Environment Rooms.

ECOairflow provides a 5-year limited warranty on all M-Series™ components from the date of manufacture. The permanent aluminum frame is a one-time capital investment; only the replaceable media pad requires periodic replacement.
